I know I will regret saying this, but regret is never a very good reason to stop one from doing what one like... right?
So here goes.
"Success is not the key to happiness... Happiness is the key to success!!!"
So, it would appear that I'm encouraging you to throw sacrifices, planning and hard-work (doing what you like is never hardwork. Doing what doesn't come naturally but its necessary is hard work. And without effort, how does one ever aquire any real skills, knowledge?) to the wind and just wing it in life... so what if I don't amount to much... at least I am happy...
Other similar "advises"...
smoke lar if you like... afterall its not the QUANTITY of life... but the QUALITY of life that matters.
"Kam chew yau chao, kam chew chooi" - this morning got wine, this morning drunk - kais pagi makan pagi, kais malam makan malam - enjoy now, worry later - Dodo
"Yen pat fong lau, wong siew lin" - human not enjoy themselves, waste their youth - Conor Lim's 2nd uncle.
Wearing condom for sex, is like taking shower with raincoat - where got fun - Freddy Mercury (died of AIDS.. poor fellow).
Ahhh!! as in coins, there is the flip side.
When I fail to plan, I'm planning to fail.
I do not wait for MOOD. If I wait for mood before doing anything, nothing useful will ever be done - Wen Chung Roong
Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood - Marie Curie. But to understand requires effort, right?
When did Noah build the ARK? B4 the rain!!!
So the two sides has been presented - live free and be happy; work hard today for a better tomorrow.
Really hard to decide which will be your motto in life, eh?
Here's my 2 cents worth.
If I were hatched from an egg and have no ties with anyone, no expectations to live up to except those of my own - hell, let's CUT LOOSE, FOOT LOOSE.
BUT
A man is not just a man. He is someone's son. Someone's brother. Someone's husband. Someone's father. Someone's friend.
I believe you can't really teach anyone anything. You can only help them become aware...
Back to the beginning - TO BE OR NOT TO BE... remember?
